Let's get to know Kayla of Creative Cuticles Nail Polish!

How did you choose your brand name?
I already had a decent following on my nail art account (KaylasCreativeCuticles), so I wanted my followers to recognize my name.

What's your all time favorite polish/collection that you created? Non polish makers: your favorite product?
Hmmmmm... That's a really tough question! I don't know if I have a favorite collection, but I have a top 3 list of my polishes! "A Great Red", "Nothing Good", & "Jun".
What was the very first polish you made and sold? Non polish makers: your first product?
"Duuuval!", was the first polish I ever mixed. It was released for my grand opening, along with 3 other polishes. It was not a collection, just 4 individual polishes.
Is your business full time? If not, what’s your other job?
It has been my only job since the beginning (Feb 28th, 2014), but I have recently started a new job (Jan 8th, 2019), as a lunch lady at my son's Elementary school.
Besides nail polish/handmade, what are your others interests?
I enjoy photography, painting, scrapbooking, camping, baking, football, reading, anything creative!
Do you have a dedicated space for creating?
Do you feel like you have to strike a balance between what you personally like and what you think will sell? How do you walk that balance?
I feel like I tend to make things that I personally like, but I have made several that aren't my style, knowing that my business was missing that element. Pink polishes, in particular.
If you could design a polish for any celebrity, who would it be and why? What color/type of polish? Non polish makers: what kind of product?
Wow! Interesting question. I'd HAVE to say, Lady Gaga or Rhianna because I like their style & I feel like they would want a super fun, creative polish!
What theme would you like to see in The Pickup?
I'd LOVE to see Ugly Pretty polishes.
What is your favorite item to shop for from the pickups?
Polish, acetone additive, & nail art items
