What's the most exciting thing about swatching for you? (i.e. why do you do it?)
I simply love the act of painting my nails - I love when the polish glides on flawlessly and I love seeing the polishes come to life. It's almost like a type of meditation/mindfulness activity for me. I find it relaxing and color brings me so much joy.
Favorite finish to photograph? Least favorite finish?
My favorite finish to photograph would probably be flakies. I love when the light hits them just right and they look like they're glowing from within. My least favorite is holos (even though holo is 100% my most favorite finish to wear). I really struggle to capture that rainbow flare without harsh shadows or overexposure.
If you could only wear one polish finish what would it be?
As a person who claims their favorite color to be "rainbow", I'd have to go with holo!
What are your favorite nail/hand care products/routines?
I love cuticle oil and have pens stashed all over my house so I'm never far from it. I have made my own cuticle oil with jojoba oil and vitamin E, but I also love Different Dimension and Bliss Kiss. Every night before bed I make sure to oil my cuticles well, then I slather up my hands with Bliss Kiss lotion stick. I am obsessed (and I mean OBSESSED) with the Autumn scent. My husband is as obsessed as I am, which is funny because he's not the kind of guy that's into these kinds of products.
How many bottles of nail polish do you own? How many do you actually use?
I'm approaching close to 300 polishes, which is a small number to some, but I never thought I would own this many polishes! I have an embarrassing number of "untrieds" and would sometime like to do an "untried polish challenge".
