Fueled By Nectar is a pastel purple crelly with green to blue shimmer and pink iridescent flakes. Sylvanclaw was inspired by Anna’s Hummingbirds (calypte anna), which often boast bright green and iridescent pink colors. In bright direct light, Fueled By Nectar glows with that soft purple and shimmer, but in indirect light or at sharper angles the pink iridescent flakes really come to life and glow, which is my attempt at mimicking the same effect in the hummingbirds’ feathers. It’s so much fun watching close up videos of these birds and the way their feathers shift colors while they fish for nectar from beautiful flowers.
